The Draft Countdown is a longstanding premier NFL Draft content and analysis site that sees immense traffic during the NFL Draft season and year round.
I met the clients, Shane and Brian, in March 2021 as they were looking to redesign the site. Over the course of a couple months we met to outline the project and I was able to give them advice on how to proceed with the scope of what they wanted the site to be. This site utilized a WordPress template that I custom coded to adjust to their style and specifications. As a news magazine style site they required no payment processing or membership function, but they monetize through an ad server that needed to be setup on the site. The project took two months to complete and was launched in July of 2021.
This site is hosted and maintained in an on going subscription with Reiter Design Co, and through this they have had minor web attacks based on previous malware that was attached to the site in the past. Utilizing security tools and plugins we were able to quickly root out the issues and increase the security with an attached CDN to keep the site running quickly and smoothly.
